Paying Your Fees

Please DO NOT send payment with your application! Summer Academy students may enroll in courses as soon as they receive their admissions notification with their NetID and Student ID number. All fees are due by June 15, or you will be dropped from courses.

Remember that if the class you want to take requires you to take a Placement Exam (Hispanic Studies, Foreign Language Placement, Chemistry, and Math); you must take the exam prior to enrollment.  It is highly suggested that students take a placement exam well before enrollment begins to allow ample time for the results to post to your student account.

Payment Deadline

  • All fees must be paid by June 15, 2018.

Note: Failure to pay fees by the deadline will result in a loss of your courses.  Click on Important Dates & Deadlines for other important program dates.

UCR Student ID card

The R'card is a multifunctional campus ID card. The UCR Card Operations Office requires proof of identity for any R'card request. High school students must provide some sort of government-issued ID such as military ID, driver's license, or passport.

It is the official photo ID of University of California, Riverside to provide for:

  • Library card for books and other privileges
  • Must be shown to take some exams
  • The cost of the ID card is $15 for Summer Session only students and Summer Academy students. Additional information can be obtained from the UCR Card website

The cost of textbooks varies depending on the subject and complexity of the class you select. You can expect to purchase at least one textbook for each class. A few weeks before class begins, you can check on-line to see what book you will need and its cost. Visit the UC Riverside Campus Store Web site.

Official UC Riverside Transcripts

Once you have completed your class and received your grade from our office, you can request an Official Transcript for a fee.

Parking Fees

Metered parking spaces are available throughout the campus; however, parking lots are patrolled frequently and tickets are given for expired meters. If you plan to drive and park on campus, we recommend that you purchase a Parking Permit.

All vehicles parked on campus property must properly display a valid UC Riverside parking permit from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. Parking on campus can be challenging during the summer months despite a reduced student body due to construction and other summertime programs, so always give yourself plenty of time to find a parking space prior to the start of your class.

As a Summer Academy student, you are not fully admitted into UC Riverside, so you cannot purchase your permit online. Instead, you will need to go to the Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) office located on 683 Linden Street.
